ROI Calculator
Return on investment and annualized ROI in seconds.
Quick answer
How do you calculate ROI?
Subtract what you invested from what you got back, divide by what you invested, and multiply by 100. $1,000 that grows to $1,500 gives $500 gain: 500 ÷ 1,000 = 50% ROI. Over 2 years that is about 22.47% per year.
ROI = (amount returned − amount invested) ÷ amount invested × 100. Annualized ROI = (returned ÷ invested)^(1 ÷ years) − 1.
⚡ Answer updates as you type · Enter = calculate · Esc = reset
- Net gain = returned − invested = $1,500.00 − $1,000.00 = $500.00
- ROI = net gain ÷ invested × 100 = $500.00 ÷ $1,000.00 × 100 = 50%
- Annualized ROI = (returned ÷ invested)^(1 ÷ years) − 1 = (1.5)^(1/2) − 1 = 22.47%
Calculate net profit, ROI percentage, and annualized return from what you invested and what you got back.
